Transforming Spaces
Handmade garden furniture, flowers, and painting has totally transformed this space. This area can now be enjoyed by the wider community, promoting both social and environmental benefits.
The Florrie
The team have done an outstanding job of the community Garden at the Florrie in Liverpool. The Florrie is a spectacular Grade II listed Victorian visitor attraction.
Handmade Garden Furniture
The team have been busy and have produced some fantastic handmade garden furniture for the residents of York House block.

'Massive thanks from all the residents of York House block for the handmade garden furniture from the Skill Mill scheme . I didn’t realise the impact such items could have on residents and their seems to be people sitting in the garden and using the furniture. We have older residents who don’t come out of their flats much but our caretaker rings them and invites them to come and have a cuppa with him, grandparents are having lunch with their grandchildren and young couples having evening tea and beverage'.

Julie, Resident.
Allotment Restyle
The Skill Mill Liverpool’s first official works were at the Youth Offending Services’ allotment relaying their paths so people with additional needs could attend the raised beds. This created many opportunities for the new team to learn about each other and form the strong team which we have today. Carrying out this work also gave the team chance to get to grips with general health and safety inductions in preparation for when they have more challenging works.
