The Skill Mill
Building and Filling Planters
The team have been out around Croydon building and filling planters. Planters help turn parks, gardens and streets into welcoming communal spaces that promote a friendly environment and a thriving, outgoing community!
Croydon Parks
Our young employees have been busy cleaning up local parks. Parks and green spaces are valued by a huge number of people. As an environmental services company, our priority is keeping them clean and tidy for the wider community to enjoy.

Local Community Grant
The Skill Mill Croydon have received a 'Local Community Grant' from Kenley Co-op store. The funding has been used for environmental improvements in local parks. Find out more.

World Cleanup Day
The team spent a day at Addington Hills, providing free gloves to #WorldCleanupDay2021 participants. The gloves were kindly given to The Skill Mill by Spontex UK. Spontex UK wanted to do something to support members of the community who were taking part in the annual event. We teamed up with them, and supported hundreds of individuals and community groups!

This training provides basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations. Our young people enjoyed taking part, and it's a great life skill for them to have! Well done to all involved.

Construction Skills Development
As part of The Skill Mill's partnership with (Tarmac Kier Joint Venture) TKJV, our young people have been focusing on developing their construction skills. The team are also working towards their CSCS cards.

Kerb Laying
The team have been buys again working in partnership with (Tarmac Kier Joint Venture) TKJV. Our young employees have been learning how to lay kerbs. One of the team chose to develop this skill even further as part of their AQA award - well done!
