World Cleanup Day 2019

The biggest civic action against waste will be taking place again this year. The Let’s Do It! movement has happily announced that the next World Cleanup Day will be 21 September 2019, with Davie Parks from The Skill Mill as the UK lead, working in collaboration with Northumbria University.

World Cleanup Day is one of the biggest civic movements of our time, uniting 157 countries across the world for a cleaner planet. Last year, the day united 18 million people across 157 countries and territories for the biggest waste collection day in human history. You can watch the 2018 summary video here. We want to make this year much bigger in September by kickstarting the event in the UK! Volunteers and partners worldwide will again come together to rid our planet of trash – cleaning up litter and mismanaged waste from our beaches, rivers, forests, and streets.

You can get involved in this years event by signing up on our webpage. We are also on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, where we will be posting regular updates about the event.
