Matt Shepherd

Matt grew up in Sheffield and has lived in Huddersfield since 1999. He spent 30 years working as a secondary school teacher, specialising in Business and IT. Throughout his teaching career, Matt was also a Head of Year for the majority of that time, providing guidance, support and leadership to students and helping them achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Matt is now employed part-time as a Pathways Adviser with The Skill Mill. In this role, he works closely with young people enrolled on the programme, supporting them as they develop their skills, confidence and aspirations. Matt helps participants make successful transitions into full-time employment, education or training, ensuring they are well prepared for the next stage of their journey.
