Our Birmingham team has been busy in the last few weeks, working away at an electrical recycling centre.
The talented young people on the Birmingham team got stuck in, alongside the staff at the centre, to help turn old electrical into parts that can be re-used and recycled.
It might come as a surprise to you, but virtually anything with a plug, battery or cable can be recycled. Anything from your old television to that blender someone bought you for Christmas years ago can be turned into something useful.
In fact, in the first quarter of 2022, almost 120,000 metric tons of household waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) was collected in the United Kingdom (Statista).
At The Skill Mill we're passionate about getting our young people into work that also has a positive impact on the environment and the Birmingham team working at the electrical recycling centre is something we're incredibly proud of.
